Capital City Sportsplex

The Capital City Sportsplex is a new proposed sports facility that provides the infrastructure for multiple indoor and outdoor sporting events. The facility includes an indoor track, swimming pool, basketball courts, baseball batting cages, indoor weight training rooms, simulated golf training rooms as well as other supporting spaces. Due to the challenges of the site, much of the program is located underground. Despite this, through the strategic use of the site, all the below-grade spaces have access to daylight via the incorporation of skylights and areaways. The building will be the largest indoor sports facility in North Carolina.
